Erratic Confabulation

Thank you to everyone for all your love, support, faith and trust for the past few months, especially to those in Vox for all their hard work and their preparations for Musica Intimæ.

To me, I think this performance allows for a close to Chapter 1 of the Vox Camerata story. It is good that Shah gets to perform with you all before he officially takes leave as AD, add to that, a concert truly on the terms of the entire choir. I'm happy that we decided to take the helms of the concert and I've personally learnt a lot from this experience.

Reflecting back on the past 6 months since practice with Vox resumed, we've certainly been blessed with a wonderful group of people - making music a truly enjoyable experience. I look forward to more sessions of fun music making when we all get back after the concert.

Perhaps, just perhaps, this might be the last installment of Musica Intimæ for awhile. Nope, I don't mean we're not going to perform anymore, just thinking of 're-branding' the Vox Camerata experience. I've got many things in mind - all to make choral music more enjoyable for both the singers and the audience. Making it accessible to anyone who wants to sing, but at the same time, providing challenges as well.

Looking forward to more wonderful music-making sessions with everyone!

Weeee.... i'm finally free.... Integrate is over, we will rock you is over.....everything for this week is rather low key except for the gathering on Saturday. Really lookin forward to that!... Just bought a new board game: betrayal at house on the hill. The guy at the shop was so excited about the game, i thought I'd just had to buy and try. Looks really cool and interesting... like OOTS board game but without the numbers. (hence it takes about 90 minutes...the last time I played OOTS with ben, it was gosh, a few hours. Minimum is 120 minutes - btw, there's a new version of it coming out, but its a blardy 240 minutes...ahaha... imagine sitting for 4 hours playing a board game)

OOTS bug bit me again. I read like 80 strips yesterday and another 30 today. Haha. Gosh... i think Elan is my alter ego. Haha.. for those of you who do not know what i'm talking about... u're really missing out =p. Go google it!

Am enjoying myself now! HEhe.

Yesterday was my Dad's 50th birthday, we didn't have anything big or lavish...

the day started at 7.30am when we made our way to Joo Chiat for my dad's favorite Wanton Noodles. Then headed to Vivo City for a walk, strolled around, looked at stuff and then had lunch at Carnivore (Think we had abit too much meat). I think the Brazil Churrascaria @ Sixth Ave still better (although got some cute waiters here).

Then went over to Sim Lim to collect this old old amplifier my dad sent for repair, then to wheelock to collect the cake.

Later in the evening, Ben came over and we had dinner @ Hooked on Heads, some fish head curry place @ thomson, and went back home to blow the cake, had some ice cream and that was it. Haha.

Simple but nice birthday celebration.

This week was quite good, managed to rest on monday... but Tuesday was nice. Ben's doing quite well with sectionals, I think I dun needa go down so often already...hehe. Thanks to Eric & Global Sounds for giving us an alternative place to practice.

Oh yes.... I'll be in Singapore for the next 6 years...hehe. I just got accepted into LKC Business Sch @ SMU.... hehe, am gonna take it up! So happy!!!! hehe.. thanks to everyone who supported and helped me along the way... love u all!

Practice last Saturday was good..... the sound of Vox is really shaping up, and i'm really proud of them. Its about crunch time and rehearsals are starting to get more, hmm, interesting =p. I just loved it when the choir started listening to each other. Next week on, it's time to work on our other songs =), I'm sure it's going to be a good one.

Today was kinda crazy, it's been awhile since i conducted a choir with so many people, abit too many things to do at one time. Nonetheless, I think it was a good rehearsal.

The Hildean Chorale was quite a wonderful bunch of kids, a lil' playful but still, nice kids. I'm especially grateful to Vox (and the new members that came today) for their patience and their effort. I'm really thankful to be part of Vox. You're a wonderful bunch of people.....

To a certain extent, each practice somehow doesn't seem enough... =p

From blogspot to livejournal...hmm.... still not used to it though.

Nonetheless, thanks to those who've added me! Hope I'll update this more often =p...
